Status Update

In 2024, the project team initiated a study at the following intersections for potential traffic improvement analysis.

1. PA 63 & Upper Mainland Road
2. PA 63 & Freed Road/Driveway/Mainland Road diverge
3. PA 63 & Wambold Road
4. PA 63 & Mainland Road
5. PA 63 & Old Forty Foot Road/PA Turnpike Southbound On-Ramp
6. PA 63 & PA Turnpike Interchange
7. PA 63 (Sumneytown Pike) & Towamencin Avenue
8. PA 63 & Forty Foot Road/Bustard Road
9. Wambold Road & Mainland Road

The design team is working with DVRPC, Towamencin Township, Lower Salford Township and Montgomery County officials to determine the appropriate improvements in this area.

The study is expected to be completed in the summer of 2025.
